Jessie Wesley, MCP, MPH
Jessie Wesley is passionate about creating liberation through the ways we enjoy, grow, buy, sell and eat food. Previously, she earned a joint masters degree in City Planning and Public Health from UC Berkeley with a focus on community engagement and healthy cities. For the past 9 years, she has worked throughout the Bay Area on issues ranging from equitable planning, to community training, to COVID relief food coordination. She thrives in spaces where she gets to engage with community members about what they care about most.
“I’m excited about the number of people that the California Farm to School programs touch. I’m excited to be on the team and to understand how to continuously be accountable to the communities that have been historically left out of these programs. I’m excited to think outside the box and craft an evaluation that is nimble and creative.”
Wesley will be responsible for facilitating team meetings and external partnerships, including with the Advisory Committee. She will assist with research activities, including data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and report drafting, and will be on the policy team. She will work closely with the Project Manager and research team members to assist with project coordination and execution.
