Alexa Delwiche is co-founder and executive director of the Center for Good Food Purchasing. Previously, she was the first staff person for the Los Angeles Food Policy Council, serving as Managing Director and Food Policy Coordinator. At the LA Food Policy Council, Alexa was chief architect of the Good Food Purchasing Program, recognized by the UN FAO and World Future Council in 2018 as one of eight most comprehensive, multi-faceted food policies to support agroecological food systems in the world. Prior to that, she was the Food Policy Coordinator for the Los Angeles Food Policy Task Force, working with the Task Force to produce and present to the Mayor of Los Angeles the “Good Food for All Agenda”. Alexa has also worked for the United Farm Workers and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. She has a Master’s of Public Policy from UCLA.
