Evaluation Goals and Priorities

  • Assess progress toward the goals and priorities in the Farm to School Roadmap
  • Identify barriers to implementation, best practices, and areas for additional or continued investment
  • Inform the public, program administrators, agencies, and elected officials about program impacts and areas for improvement

Evaluation Timeframe

A timeline with approximate dates relevant to California’s Farm to School Program and Evaluation. Cohort 2 runs from April 2023 to March 2025. Cohort 3 is still to be determined, and is shown to run from July 2024 to May 2026. Quarterly Grantee Reports to CDFA runs from August 2023 to June 2026. Additional data collection and grantee/partner engagement runs from September 2023 to September 2026. The LAO Status Update occurred in January 2023. The Legislative Update will occur in January 2024. The Year 1 Progress Report will occur in August 2024. The Year 2 Progress Report will occur in August 2025. The Final Report is due December 2026.
