Meagan Shedd, PhD
Meagan is the director of evaluation with Food Insight Group, supporting data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. She brings an enthusiasm for mixed methods research with an interdisciplinary approach in partnering with communities to guide evaluation. Prior to joining Food Insight Group, she was an associate professor at Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS) in farm to early care and K-12 education working at the state and national level to increase access to nutrient-dense and locally produced, affordable foods as part of a just food system in education settings. Her work includes the Farm to Early Care and Education Implementation Grants and examination of the effectiveness of procurement pilots resulting from that funding and partnering with the National Farm to School Network on the National Farm to Early Care and Education Provider Survey. With over 25 years of experience working with families with young children, Extension, public health, state government, and education settings, she has a BS in Dietetics with a Specialization in Health Promotion, an MS in Community Services, and a PhD in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University.
