Meg Resler, PhD
Meg Resler works in the Dept. of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the F2S Case Studies Team. Meg holds a PhD and MS in Agroecology from the University of Helsinki, Finland. During their seven years in Finland, they collaborated on various environmental social science and food system transformation research projects with city planners, landscape architects, urban farmers, and human geographers – all with the shared goal of advancing agroecological and regenerative food systems. Methodologically, they tend towards qualitative, arts-based, and participatory approaches to research design. Prior to moving to Finland, Meg received a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington and worked as a Park Ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO. Outside of research, food plays an animating role in Meg’s life – as a source of inspiration in cooking, illustration, and painting.
