Sunny is a fourth-year Ph.D student in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics at the University of California Berkeley. Sunny has a background in research on the economics of agriculture, environment, development, gender, networks and corruption around the world. His current research is related to the economic impacts of agricultural transformation and environment degradation. In the past, he has also worked on and continues to be interested in the research on the role of social networks in social and agricultural transformation. Prior to starting his Ph.D, Sunny worked as a Research Associate at Evidence for Policy Design at the Harvard Kennedy School on projects related to the role of information provision for implementation of welfare programs and the role of social networks in female labor force participation in India. Sunny enjoys taking up new challenges in research related to the sustainable development of under-represented communities around the world.
